In a similar development, Abdoulie S. Ndure of Nawec;  Lamin Tunkara, an APRC militant from Manjai Kunda; Mbye Lowe; Abdoulie Ngum of Mandinary Village and Corporal Omar Manneh of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) also wrote letters of appreciation to the Gambian leader.

The letters read:
As yet another April 24th, Republic Day, draws nearer, I do vividly recall that electrifying moment last year when I was fortunate enough to have been amongst those privileged awardees being decorated alongside my two other NAWEC Brothers, Alhaji Dibba and Alhajie Musa Njie. It was indeed a very memorable occasion that will last for a life-time.

However, since we are not the only staff in NAWEC responsible for the provision of such critical services as water and electricity, nation-wide and around the clock, I feel morally compelled to share my award with all equally-deserving NAWEC colleagues without whose committed co-operation, such an honour would have been a far-fetched dream.

In the name, therefore of Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful, I respectfully and sincerely thank you, Your Excellency, for recognizing, when I never expected it, my very humble and modest contributions to national duty. I humbly avail myself of this opportunity to convey my deep appreciation and profound gratitude, then now and always.

Your intrinsic recognition of my selfless services, especially at my place of work for so long, is a living testimony of my deeply-rooted conviction that nothing good goes in vain , no matter how difficult and frustrating. This is a fact of life which must always be remembered.

I, for one, believe that as a well-meaning President, Allah the All-knowing has entrusted in your safe hands the destiny of this our great country. May he continue to bless, guide and protect you and us all for many, more years to come, Ameen. Thank you once again, Mr. President. With my highest esteem and respect.
