Jammeh Appoints An NIA Panel To gambiaLook Into Fatou Camara’s case; Jammeh’s Plane Grounded In The US For Non payment Of Aircraft Maintenance Fee!

Fatou Camara is still under NIA custody. The NIA undercover officer met her yesterday. She reported that Fatou is in a good state of health. The NIA undercover agent has also reported that Fatou is in high spirit.

A panel of investigators have been tasked to look into Fatou’s case. One of the panellists is a senior NIA agent one Yoro Baldeh.  The panel is looking into allegations that Fatou Camara took up a fulltime job with Youssou Ndour’s TFM television station whilst working with Jammeh Musa’s GRTS at the same time.

Fatou is being confronted with all kinds of questions by the panel. One panel member told us that he is not convinced that the allegations brought against Fatou is factual. He said the state is on a witch hunting scheme, adding that Fatou have not broken any laws.

“This panel is a joke. We laughed our asses off after sittings. There is no coherence and proof in the allegations brought against Fatou Camara. All the allegations are “he said, she said.” We are finding it very difficult to make sense out of some of the allegations. Fatou working for TFM TV is not a crime because she is not an employee of GRTS. She signed a contract with GRTS to host a show with them. The conflict of interest that Oga Jammeh is trying to make an issue is non issue as far as I am concerned. I think he is out to get this poor girl by any means necessary. Fatou Camara is a brave lady. She has been very firm and consistent with her answers. There is no element of fear in Fatou Camara. I think this case is going to shame the Presidency if it reaches court,” said our source, who is privy to the NIA investigations.

Another NIA source close to President Jammeh told us that Ms. Camara is doing fine. “Yeah Fatou Camara is ok and kicking. She is here with us. Jammeh suspected that the celebrity was going to Senegal and be full working with TFM TV. She is under investigations. She was questioned yesterday with panel of officers including Yoro Baldeh, aka capon, a senior nia officer.”

Fatou’s alleged affiliation with the Freedom Newspaper also came up during the NIA investigations. But she has denied providing information to the Freedom Newspaper. She said she had no ties with the Freedom Newspaper.

Meanwhile, we received an email from a concerned reader commenting on Jammeh’s grounded plane in the US. The reader said the Jammeh jet has been grounded in the US for over a year now due to non payment of its crews and maintenance fees.  Please read on....

Dear All,

I read your article about the state aircraft maintenance.  So far I know one of the “state aircrafts" is around 1 year for maintenance in USA, because the invoice for the aircraft maintenance and for the pilots is not paid. The aircraft cannot be delivered back to the government back.

The operator of the plane received a lot of expenses from the government.  Some of the operators of the plane have stayed vey long in the USA. I am not sure if the President knows about these circumstances.

The plane is a business jet, which can save money if it is ready to fly, because it need much less fuel and costs for operation and maintenance instead of taking chartered airplanes or big airplanes like the ones grounded at the Banjul airport.
